Due to the ongoing pandemic, there is still uncertainty ahead but local governments in many states are trying to implement reopening plans in an attempt to return to normalcy and help salvage local industries. In Michigan, Governor Gretchen Whitmer recentlyannounced plans to allow casinos to reopen in August at 15% capacity. However, soon casino patrons won’t need to visit the casino to play aslegal Michigan online casinos will be up and running in no time.

Governor Whitmer’s decision ideally will help the entertainment and hospitality industry throughout the state, and despite online casinos coming soon, the reopening plans will undoubtedly help some of the restaurants located at or near the casinos. While we recommend being as safe as possible when making dining decisions, and we currently suggest dining outdoors on restaurant patios or continuing to bring carry-out orders home, we do hope for a time when full dine-in options at our favorite restaurants will be an undebatable choice.
With that in mind, we wanted to highlight the top 5 casino restaurants at Detroit casinos. Although these restaurants might not currently offer patio seating, we do want to give them the recognition they deserve so you can keep them on your radar for when everything is back up and running.
Located at the MotorCity Casino in Detroit, Iridescence offers a phenomenal fine dining experience. Don’t just take our word for it, Iridescence has been awarded AAA’s 4-Diamond rating time and time again. Additionally, it was rated and featured in Forbes Travel Guide in 2016.
Iridescence offers a great selection of seafood, steaks, appetizers, and of course wine. Other than the food, the best thing about dining at Iridescence is the view of Detroit’s skyline.
Much like Iridescence, Prism offers an American-style steakhouse menu and tremendous views of the Detroit skyline. Winner of the Best Steakhouse award from HOUR Detroit Magazine, Prism is definitely worth checking out.
The menu is a bit smaller but the quality of the food makes up for the lack of selection. You can’t go wrong with any one of their appetizers, salads, steaks, or entrées.
Located at the MGM Grand in Detroit, the Palette Dining Studio offers a buffet-style dining experience that is hard to beat. It’s an all-you-can-eat style buffet with quite the selection and weekly specials.
Due to COVID-19, it’s difficult to say when they will reopen but when they do we highly recommend trying it out!
TAP at MGM Grand Detroit is the perfect spot to grab and drink and enjoy a casual meal. The restaurant and bar offer over 50 beers on tap and even curates their own season wine and spirit drink menu.
In addition to the great drink selection, they offer classic pub-style dishes and over 40 TV’s throughout. It’s one of the best spots in town to catch a game and enjoy a meal.
The Lodge Diner is located inside the MotorCity Casino and is the perfect spot for late-night eats. The Lodge Diner serves everything from breakfast to sandwiches, and more and prior to COVID-19 was open 24-hours a day.
Given the wide variety found on their menu, it’s hard to not find something you’ll enjoy and they do make sure that their breakfast menu is available all day.

While on the ship, they spend their time in a replica of the Las Vegas Strip for gambling, and eat at Las Vegas style buffets and fine restaurants. Paul Erickson, one of the members, reluctantly goes on the vacation because he is mentally recovering from the death of his brother from brain cancer. Right from the start, Paul was acting erratic and his friends were concerned. And to their surprise, Paul went missing, nowhere to be found.
